Amazon is currently seeking an experienced Senior Operations Executive to join our Customer Fulfillment team at our Robotics Fulfillment Center in Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the AU Fulfillment Center (FC) leadership team during its phase of expansion and growth, whereby you get to define process flows and shape standard work routines as operations scale up.

As a Senior Operations Executive, you'll deliver inspiring leadership for your teams while getting involved whenever necessary.

You'll supervise Area Managers and their direct reports, reporting to the Site Lead of your Fulfillment Center. Quality leadership is key to achievement in this role: you'll motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with those of the business.

A key aspect of your role will be to coordinate on numerous process improvement projects, streamlining all activities for yourself and your team members. Your innovative ideas could be rolled out across the Amazon network.

Please note that the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off, with Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday shifts available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-site
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on specific, larger-scale processes and activities within FCs
  • Handling timely data collection, updating operations metrics on an hourly basis in your inventory control and systems environment
  • Aiming to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and ensure a high-quality customer experience
  • Working closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels
  • Implementing process change and contributing to cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Amazon Operations network

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams
  • Experience in employee and performance management
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven experience in a similar, innovative logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability in establishing and carrying out root cause analysis, and then extracting and analyzing the data generated
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including nights and weekends

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience
