Job Role: Platform Team Leader

  • To deliver day-to-day technology projects, maintenance, and support for Identity environments across on-premise and hybrid cloud resources.
  • To ensure the reliable operation, monitoring, and enhancement of Identity environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To provide input into Infrastructure Department strategy and lead tactical execution of operational plans and day-to-day services.
  2. To manage the performance, productivity, and quality of the Identity Team in line with company objectives.
  3. To coordinate incident management, request handling, and project delivery.
  4. To manage communication to Service Delivery Team regarding incidents and technology changes.
  5. To act as primary technical escalation point for IAM matters.
  6. To own development and maintenance of IAM knowledge base, operational procedures, and processes.
  7. To embed agreed procedures for Change Management, Escalation, Incident, and Problem Management.
  8. To escalate technical queries to Management according to established procedures.
  9. To facilitate interface between internal Technology Teams and service providers.
  10. To maintain awareness, understanding, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  11. To participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and resource allocation.
  12. To deliver team capability and capacity through talent management and development.
  13. To maximise service delivery through effective resource coordination and capacity planning.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of relevant technical experience or 3 years in a similar leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues and business impact.
  • Well-developed troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong customer focus.
  • Able to lead, coach, and develop a small technical team.
  • Proven experience in developing operating policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Solid experience with centralised IAM solutions such as Okta, Ping ID, and Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in directory services like Active Directory or similar.
  • Expertise in multi-factor authentication systems and passwordless authentication services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IAM standards and protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Competence in technical writing and ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
  • Experience in training and mentoring IAM administrators.
