Lead Horticulturist - Green Space Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced horticulturist to lead our team in maintaining and enhancing green spaces. This role is ideal for an individual with expertise in both gardening and sports turf management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating nutrition and spray programs for gardens and lawns, ensuring that important areas such as the winning post, mounting yard, and formal lawns look their best for race days and TV events.

In this key position, you will assist with leading a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time. This includes planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising. Additionally, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in both gardening and sports turf management
  • Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or minimum 5 year's experience
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • White Card
  • Valid Drivers' license (Manual)
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
