Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to fill a key role in our Procurement team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting purchasing operations and data management across our network.


As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely supplier acknowledgments match quantity, price, and delivery date. You will also update purchasing records in ERP systems and maintain supplier item relationships.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process, confirm, and follow up on purchase orders for assigned sites
  • Liaise with suppliers, planners, and buyers to support production schedules
  • Monitor open orders and coordinate rejected/surplus materials

Purchasing Operations & Data Management
  • Assist with product setup, updates, and obsoleting items in ERP systems
  • Enforce data timelines and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy
  • Support vendor creation and documentation of work instructions

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred, or Global Equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in procurement, operations, or related field (chemicals, petrochemicals, etc.) or comparable valuable experience from other areas (marketing, sales, etc.)
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
