About the Role:

The Building Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a high standard of Building Surveying practice and customer service is provided to internal and external customers. This role plays a vital part of ensuring that the community's built environment is safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional and technical assistance to the Manager Public Health and Building Services and the broader Development and Compliance Business Unit leadership team.
  • Ensuring a high standard of Building Surveying practice and customer service is provided to internal and external customers.
  • Implementing up-to-date building practices and applying relevant legislation.
  • Conducting and documenting building inspections for all categories and construction types.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Building Surveying experience and Level 1 or Level 2 DEMIRS Registration (WA).
  • Confidence in conducting and documenting building inspections for all categories and construction types.
  • Extensive knowledge and technical proficiency in solving complex issues in a statutory environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing up-to-date building practices and applying relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, suitable for presenting complex issues to a diverse audience.
