Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services that meet the needs of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply procurement practices in a Defence supply chain environment
  • Manage procurement through to delivery, ensuring delivery of supply to the required schedule, scope and quality
  • Maintain data integrity of inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of Program requirements
  • Work with the SPO Inventory Team to ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain established stock levels
  • Support audit and quality assurance controls across the procurement function to ensure compliance to policy
  • Contribute to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting
  • Maintain export control compliance across all Material Support functions
Requirements:
  • Practical commercial acumen in sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement and delivery management
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably within a Defence environment
  • Computer literacy including inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo), Windows OS and Microsoft Office
