Telecommunications Field Technician Trainee Opportunity

Skillinvest is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Telecommunications Field Technician Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and a nationally recognized qualification in the dynamic world of telecommunications.

About the Role

As a Telecommunications Field Technician Trainee, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications networks, including fixed and wireless equipment. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain telecommunications networks, including fixed and wireless equipment
  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks
  • Place or terminate cables, including those made of optical fiber
  • Undertake proof tests, such as line testing and circuit commissioning
  • Assemble, erect, position, and label items of equipment
  • Install and maintain telecommunication and other data systems at customers' premises
Requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Passion for telecommunications technology
  • Driver's License
  • White card and First Aid or must obtain
  • Ability to travel to regional locations
  • Availability for overtime
  • Able to commit to the role and seeking a long-term opportunity
