About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Accounting Team at RDO Equipment Australia, a leading dealership company. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with all accounting and finance needs, working closely with the Accounting Manager to deliver accurate and dependable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month End and Financial Reporting
  • Financial Accounting Related Tasks, including FBT, Tax, Consolidations
  • Lease and Property Management (AASB16)
  • Accounting for Acquisitions
  • Developing Capabilities in the Team
Requirements
  • CPA or CA qualified accountant
  • Extensive experience in a similar role for a complex sizeable company, ideally within a dealership company
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, including financial reporting
  • Technical competency, AASB and IFRS
  • Strong MS Office skills, with intermediate/advanced MS Excel
  • Experience using financial systems, including ERP and electronic workflow solutions desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven track record in achieving results, with the ability to prioritise, work in accordance with reporting needs
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and the subsequent proactive management of such opportunities
  • Confident in decision making and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to adapt and respond to changes emerging in a rapid paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Ability to provide Leadership to a medium sized team
