
Mental Health Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to provide clinical leadership and expertise in our mental health service.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide therapeutic triage and collaborative treatment planning for clients, ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
- Team Collaboration: Share day-to-day clinical leadership with senior staff, working together to deliver high-quality care.
- Complex Case Management: Ensure complex cases are managed effectively, consulting with colleagues as needed.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Work collaboratively with government, non-government, private providers, consumers, and carers to deliver comprehensive services.
- Accountability: Accountable for delivering high-quality care aligned with Department of Health and WCHN standards, addressing practice-policy gaps, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Mental Health and Nursing Practice: Accountable for own mental health and nursing practice, clinical outcomes, professional advice, care delegations, and policy compliance.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in delivering proficient and comprehensive mental health nursing assessment and direct clinical services to children, young people, and their families experiencing complex, acute or chronic mental illness/trauma or a wide range of emotional and behavioral disturbance.
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management.
