Mine Planning Strategist

We are seeking an accomplished mining professional to lead our mine planning initiatives. As a strategic leader, you will drive technical excellence and continuous improvement in guiding short-term and tactical mine direction.
Your key responsibilities will include leading the execution of site dragline design strategy across various planning horizons, preparing and presenting pit designs, dig sequencing, and reserves to ensure tactical direction is fit-for-purpose and clearly communicated, driving performance and continuous improvement through problem solving and improvement projects, and strengthening team capability through people development and training on dragline principles and software.
- Develop and implement efficient dragline design strategies that align with business objectives.
- Design and present pit plans, dig sequences, and reserve estimates that meet tactical requirements.
- Drive performance improvements through process optimization and employee development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mine planning with a focus on dragline and dozer operations.
- Expertise in dragline mechanics and sequencing.
- Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Spry, XPAC.
- Previous experience in a lead or senior mine planning role.
- Exposure to fleet management systems and real-time operational data analysis.
