Job Opportunity
The Residential Electrical Sales Manager is a key leadership position that combines technical expertise with sales enablement to drive revenue growth in residential electrical and generator product categories across multiple business units.
Sales Enablement & Growth
- Drive residential electrical and generator sales through technical training, upselling strategies, and sales team partnership.
- Collaborate with regional leadership and local teams to identify growth opportunities, ensuring consistent messaging and execution across all centers.
- Develop relationships with product vendors, sales managers, and technicians, leveraging technical insights and solution-based recommendations tailored to seasonality and market demand.
Technical Training & Product Expertise
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for sales staff, technicians, and partners to strengthen knowledge of electrical systems, generators, and applications.
- Act as the subject matter expert for residential electrical solutions, generators, and industry innovation across the company.
- Monitor market trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to ensure best-in-class training, positioning, and product selection.
- Utilize reporting to make data-driven decisions to help influence and make immediate impacts.
Multi-Site Oversight & Collaboration
- Provide leadership, guidance, and influence across multiple sites to align electrical and generator sales strategies and execution.
- Partner with regional and local managers to roll out product-focused training and sales initiatives.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and ensure consistency in product representation, technical implementation, rebates, and pricebook adherence.
Strategic Planning & Travel
- Travel up to 75-80% to visit centers, support regional teams, conduct live training, and attend industry events and vendor meetings.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align electrical and generator strategies with company-wide growth objectives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of residential electrical or generator industry experience with strong technical knowledge of systems, codes, and products.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, with proven experience in training, technical sales, or product management. Multi-site management required.
- Generac certification (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success influencing sales outcomes through training, technical coaching, and consultative selling.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Electrical license or certification.
- Service Titan/CRM system experience strongly recommended.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a desk while sitting and/or standing at a workstation.
- Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms while demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft platforms as well as other digital technologies.
- Work performed primarily in office and training environments, with occasional field and site visits which may require exposure to varying weather conditions, and potential hazardous environments encountered in the field.
