Key Faculty Leadership Position

We are seeking a forward-thinking leader to drive innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, design, and technology education, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams within an educational institution or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Technologies curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Design Technologies and Engineering
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving
  • Mentor and support staff within the Technologies Faculty, fostering professional growth and development
  • Manage department resources and facilities to ensure effective delivery of the Technologies program
  • Establish partnerships with industry leaders, universities, and external stakeholders to enhance student learning opportunities and outcomes
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in technology and engineering education, continuously improving the quality and relevance of our programs
  • Promote and advocate for the importance of technology in education through engagement with students, parents, and the broader community

Requirements:

We are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking leader with:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Design, Technology, or related fields)
  • Proven leadership experience within an educational institution or similar environment, with a track record of successfully leading teams
  • A deep understanding of Technologies education including curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, students, and external partners
  • A commitment to promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Experience building partnerships with industry, academia, and the wider community to enrich student learning
