Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to work in an underground hard rock mining project located near Bendigo. The mine site has a great reputation for strong working relationships, healthy work-life balance, and a supportive mining community.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and preventative maintenance of diesel machinery, as well as general repairs and diagnostics.
  • Fieldwork includes breakdowns, fault finding, and diagnostics when competent.
  • Maintenance of UG mining trucks, boggers, drills, IT's, charge up equipment, and spraymechs.
Requirements:
  • A trade qualification in diesel mechanics or light vehicle mechanics is essential.
  • All-round abilities in the workshop with diesel machinery experience.
  • Heavy vehicles, ag/forestry, or earthmoving machinery experience is necessary.
  • The ability to learn and develop skills in the mining sector is desirable.
  • Teamwork and autonomous working abilities are required.
  • An excellent attitude towards work and safety-first mentality are crucial.
