Strategic Communications Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Leader to shape the global presence of our flagship international research program in water, sanitation and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead strategic communications that elevate program visibility and global reputation, ensuring alignment with institutional branding and partner priorities.
  • Manage high-impact content creation across digital and print platforms, translating complex research into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Provide communication advice and support to senior leaders to strengthen policy engagement, media positioning and program reputation.
  • Lead international communications coordination with in-country teams, ensuring consistency of messaging and regional relevance.
  • Oversee digital engagement and performance to inform content strategy and optimise audience reach through data and analytics.
  • Coordinate external service providers to deliver polished, high-quality communications outputs within scope and budget.
  • Foster internal communication and team cohesion through engaging, inclusive practices that support our diverse, global team.
  • Act as a key liaison for strategic stakeholder engagement, working closely with stakeholders and partners to maximise visibility and alignment.
