About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with startups and scale-ups across various industries, helping them adopt the right architecture at each stage of their lifecycle.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects. You will develop a deep expertise in AWS technologies and have broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

Your experience will include working in, or leading software engineering teams at fast-moving and growing companies within the tech and startup industry. Your customer-facing skills will allow you to represent Amazon well within a customer's environment or the broader startup community; as well as a technical background that enables you to easily interact with and give guidance to software developers and architects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnering with a diverse range of startups to adopt the right architecture at each stage in their lifecycle and driving the architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions
  • Scoping each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined goals and success criteria
  • Driving adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth
  • Partnering with engineering teams to support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services through customer feedback
  • Building and nurturing technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators, and VCs
  • Developing startup-specific technical content, such as blog posts, sample code, and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS

We offer a competitive salary of AU$150,000 - AU$200,000 per year, depending on experience.
