
Senior Construction Sector Leader

This role is for a seasoned professional to manage the activities of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering services and programs that promote workplace health and safety across the construction sector in NSW.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to manage resources effectively, and expertise in stakeholder engagement. They will be able to identify and respond to emerging issues, deal with complex matters, and provide strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and influence the implementation of organizational direction and programs among external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
- Deal with complex matters, including national and state cross-agency jurisdictions, working groups, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to an evolving business unit culture within a dynamic operating environment, ensuring consistency with organizational values.
- Lead a business unit through innovative use of digital technologies to secure desired strategic outcomes.
- Effectively manage the functions and responsibilities of Inspectors as set out in the Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation legislation.
- Represent the organization through relevant media channels using approved processes when required.
- Able to travel, work remotely, and outside usual business hours.
- Hold a NSW C class driver's license with a satisfactory safe driving record and maintain it throughout employment.
- Satisfactory criminal record check.
- Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts of inherent duties.
- Undertake the 12-month New Inspector Training Program (NITP).
This role offers a salary grade inspector consent award, state team coordinator, with a base salary starting at $159,573 plus superannuation. The opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive workplace is also available.
