Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to join our team at Integrated Project Services. As a key member of our MEP team, you will be responsible for designing and developing energy-efficient, compliant, and sustainable mechanical systems for our clients in the life sciences industry.
Your primary focus will be on designing HVAC, black utilities, public health services, building management systems, environmental monitoring systems, and fire protection systems. You will work closely with our project managers to determine scope of work, budget, and staffing, and will be responsible for preparing engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyzing the operation of existing systems.
You will also be responsible for coordinating with code officials and other design professionals when necessary, and will assist in the education and development of design staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop energy-efficient, compliant, and sustainable mechanical systems for clients in the life sciences industry
- Work closely with project managers to determine scope of work, budget, and staffing
- Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems
- Coordinate with code officials and other design professionals when necessary
- Assist in the education and development of design staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
- 10+ years of design engineering experience, with a strong background in HVAC system design and experience with central utilities, including steam systems
- Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software and building information modeling (BIM)
- Strong communication and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the design of BioPharm facilities and associated utilities for the cGMP production of biological and pharmaceutical drugs
- Experience in the design of Hospital Operating Rooms, Pharmacies
