About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing energy-efficient, compliant, maintainable, and sustainable HVAC systems for technically complex facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess project requirements and develop scope of work, budget, and staffing plans.
  • Design and develop HVAC systems, including black utilities, public health services, building management systems, environmental monitoring systems, and fire protection systems.
  • Work with code officials and other design professionals to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Assign and review work of project design teams and coordinate project document completion.
  • Prepare or review construction budgets and assist in the education and development of design staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer.
  • 10+ years of design engineering experience, with a good understanding of HVAC system design and experience with central utilities, including steam systems.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
  • Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fire protection and plumbing design experience.
  • Mechanical designation in Australia.
  • Experience in the design of Bio Pharm facilities and associated utilities for the cGMP production of biological and pharmaceutical drugs.
