About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Strategic Policy to join our Government and Policy Division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping Austrade's policy direction and ensuring the agency's participation in whole-of-government policy development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team responsible for coordinating and advising on Austrade's participation in whole-of-government policy development and implementation, as well as coordination of Austrade's engagement with DFAT on cross-portfolio policy matters.
  • Manage and guide Austrade's preparations and processes for the Federal Budget, ensuring a coordinated response from the agency, aligned with DFAT portfolio objectives.
  • Drive the implementation of Austrade's implementation and evaluation framework to support policy design, program implementation and policy accountability to the Government.
Requirements
  • Well-developed understanding and demonstrated experience in whole-of-government collaboration and Federal Budget processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
