At Flexhive, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Policy Advisor to join our team. As an EL1 Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic thinking by coordinating, analyzing, and advising on the electricity market and related issues.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for achieving results in a fast-paced environment by building team capabilities and marshalling external expertise and experience to boost impact.
  • Influencing strategic outcomes through excellent communication skills, particularly in writing, and conveying complex issues succinctly to non-expert audiences, including in briefings and submissions for senior executives.
  • Proactively identifying issues, efficiencies, and opportunities for reform, and recommending innovative solutions using critical thinking, sound judgment, your own expertise, and awareness of the broader environment.
  • Developing productive relationships, working collaboratively, and negotiating outcomes with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Leading and managing direct reports by prioritizing wellbeing, progression, and development.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, law, public policy, engineering, or related disciplines are useful but not required.
  • You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and effectively.
  • A strong track record of influencing strategic outcomes and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively and develop productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

What We Offer:
