TeamHEALTH stands as a premier not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health services across the Top End of the Northern Territory. With over three decades of experience, TeamHEALTH has been at the forefront of delivering outreach services, support, and advocacy for individuals facing mental health challenges.
In this role, reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Child and Family Wellbeing Worker will implement strength-based case management strategies and engage in activities tailored for children, young people, and families, adhering to established program guidelines. The position also entails providing outreach support to facilitate the creation and execution of participant-centered Family Action Plans.
The Child and Family Wellbeing Worker will play a crucial role in establishing effective referral pathways, both into and out of the service, to connect with vulnerable children, young people, and families who may not typically access mental health or children's services.
Under the guidance of the Team Leader, this role will also involve delivering educational programs and information sessions aimed at enhancing mental health awareness among program participants and the broader community.
About You
To excel in this position, you will possess:
- A Diploma or Certificate-level qualification in a relevant health or welfare discipline.
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and families, including Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
- A solid understanding and application of a strength-based approach, along with proficiency in various interventions suitable for children and young people.
- The ability to cultivate relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including participants, community members, and other service providers.
- Experience in delivering educational content to young people.
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Ochre Card, NT Driver's Licence, and have completed the NDIS Worker Screen and Orientation Module.
