As a Health and Safety Professional, you will play a key role in fostering effective partnerships with operational teams to ensure services are delivered with the safety of people and community always at the forefront.

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing team is responsible for ensuring the ongoing commitment to the safety of our people and the community. They partner with operational teams across Australia to deliver essential services while prioritizing safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage, influence, and collaborate with partnering organizations and frontline workforce to identify, develop, and implement H&S improvement programs and projects aligned with the H&S team's strategy
  • Provide guidance to ensure framework partners work collaboratively to leverage collective capability, individual innovations, and commitment to harmonized health and safety practice
  • Identify leading practice and seek alignment across frameworks and partnering organizations in the spirit of delivering capital together
  • Maintain accurate records of high-risk activities and provide timely insights for informed safety decisions
  • Monitor progress and effectiveness of safety improvement plans, including reviewing worker feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain a safe working environment, minimizing risk through expertise in work health and safety

About You

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of and ability to interpret relevant safety legislation, policies, and processes
  • Possess a tertiary qualification (Diploma or higher) in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Exhibit a bias for action with the ability to execute effectively
  • Showcase a people-centered approach, understanding change delivery through engagement
  • Bidder demonstration of their skills by highlighting a proven track record in stakeholder management and relationship-building
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment, working autonomously yet collaborating as part of a cohesive team
