Mental Health Clinician Role
This challenging opportunity involves providing mental health services to the community in conjunction with emergency services.
The role requires timely and effective triage, risk assessment and intervention alongside police, ambulance and clinical teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing highly mobile, recovery-oriented clinical advice and support to police managing mental health cases.
- Undertaking advanced level assessments and management of complex mental health emergencies and crises.
- Facilitating diversion from hospital care when possible.
- Supporting individuals in crisis with a trauma-informed approach.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications and experience as per clinical discipline.
- Clinical Nurse Consultant or Senior Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with full registration or Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW with expertise in Mental Health.
- Current unrestricted drivers license.
