Job Overview

We are seeking an individual to take on the role of Operational Officer – Room Service Representative.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking patient meal orders via phone or iPad, ensuring safety guidelines, customer service standards, and scripting are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking accurate patient meal orders and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded correctly.
  • Familiarity with the Room Service menu and ability to describe options confidently to patients.
  • Promoting and upselling items, explaining menu options, and adhering to coding compliance for patients with Therapeutic Diet requirements.
  • Performing administrative tasks, troubleshooting patient and staff enquiries, and liaising with Clinical staff.
  • Responding quickly and positively to changing requirements and priorities.

About You

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed patient expectations.
  • High level of communication skills, including building rapport with patients and working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confidence using computers and technology, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team promoting excellence in healthcare.
