Early Childhood Educator - Infant Room Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Infant Room Leader. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting staff, students, and volunteers in the infant room.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality programs for children aged 0-2 years, aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and children, adhering to our OH&S Policy.

  • Keep accurate records of accidents, incidents, injuries, illnesses, and medication.

  • Liaise with families regarding daily happenings and provide regular updates on their child's progress.

  • Monitor and record individual children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
  • Experience as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Regulations, National Quality Standards, and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of family communications and the Montessori Philosophy.
  • Well-versed in Montessori learning materials, curriculum areas, and progression.
