Room Leader Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to lead and supervise a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that support children's individual needs and interests.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, and staff members, promoting open communication and trust.
  • Observing and assessing children's development and progress and providing guidance and support to educators.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, health and safety guidelines, and centre policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular staff meetings, professional development sessions, and performance evaluations to support the growth and development of educators.
  • Collaborating with families to ensure a smooth transition for children into the room and maintaining ongoing communication about their child's progress.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement processes and implementing innovative ideas to enhance the learning environment.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to make a difference in their lives.
  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Availability Monday - Friday.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development principles and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism.
  • A current First Aid/CPR certification and a valid Working with Children Check.
