About the Role

This key position plays a vital role in ensuring all critical issues are addressed in a timely manner to create a sustainable business capable of meeting our promise to customers.

The Product Innovation Specialist is accountable for developing, maintaining, and improving product quality systems, including measurement and inspection processes, and aiding in the management of process control, driving improvement in cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear directions, specifications, and procedures to enable sustainable quality performance and control of the manufacturing process.
  • Act as the voice of the customer across the business and manage investigations into customer complaints.
  • Implement and monitor measures of key process variables and product characteristics, providing analysis and systems to enable operations to deliver quality products to customers.
  • Ensure effective communication between all levels of the business.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Material Science.
  • Previous experience in product quality management.
  • Strong understanding of steelmaking and rolling mill processes.
  • Previous experience in Wire Rod Mills highly regarded.
