Respiratory care professionals play a vital role in delivering medical gases and equipment to various healthcare facilities and patient homes.

This position is responsible for the delivery of oxygen cylinders, setting up and maintaining medical equipment, educating patients on its use, diagnosing issues with defective units, and managing stock levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering medical gases to doctors, dentists, and residential aged care facilities
  • Visiting patients to deliver medical equipment, gas cylinders, and other supplies
  • Setting up and maintaining medical equipment, as well as educating patients on proper usage
  • Diagnosing and replacing defective units
  • Performing administrative tasks such as stock management

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience operating a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of Fairfield and surrounding areas for safe navigation
  • Ability to move comfortably with cylinders and medical equipment weighing 4-25kg, with heavier items transported using a trolley
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • Valid open drivers license (MR license highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Flexibility with rostering and willingness to work on-call
