Opportunity Overview

A dynamic and rewarding opportunity exists for a psychiatrist with sub-specialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry to work in regional/rural NSW, providing essential services to the community. The position is based at Orange Health Service, within the Western NSW Local Health District, and involves collaboration with clinical teams across various locations.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing acute care to younger people in the CAMHS inpatient unit located at Bloomfield Hospital. The role will incorporate virtual clinical work and require the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and other health professionals.

Our Services are a vital part of the healthcare delivered in our local communities, serving a catchment area of 400,000 square kilometers. We strive to provide high-quality services, focusing on patient-centered care and population health outcomes.

Location: Orange, NSW.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Sub-specialty training and expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Medical degree (registerable/registered) with the Medical Board of Australia, Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working with children and adolescents, including inpatient/outpatient/community settings.
