Heavy Mining Equipment Technician

About the Role

This role requires a skilled Heavy Mining Equipment Technician to work on a variety of Surface mining equipment including CAT Loaders / Wheel Dozers / Graders / Dump Trucks and Road Trains, Komatsu, Liebherr and Hitachi.

  • Removing and re/fitting rims and wheel assemblies is a key responsibility for this position.
  • Performing regular tyre inflation pressure checks and adjustments are also required.
  • The selected candidate will be expected to report to supervisor as needed.

A high level of attention to detail is essential to ensure personal and team safety.

Locations

Work will take place at various WA sites in the Pilbara region, including Gold and Iron Ore sites.

Rate

The hourly rate for this position will be $55-$65 depending on experience, plus superannuation benefits.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • A Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 12 months experience working as a technician on heavy machinery.
  • The ability to continuously improve processes and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with team members.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • A 'Can Do' attitude and strong focus on workplace safety.
