
Package Delivery Specialist

This is a key role that requires the ability to manage electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and specification compliance.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
- They will also be responsible for managing and driving key design and supply activities of suppliers and interfacing with other project stakeholders.
- An additional responsibility will be to delegate tasks to a multi-disciplinary project team and manage to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- The candidate will need to ensure Suppliers' deliverables and interrelated work are completed sequentially and in accordance with the contract and the project's key delivery dates.
- They will communicate outputs and guide action based on the identification of any impacts on schedule, quality, and cost, and mitigation of impacts and reporting as required.
- The Package Manager will share regular progress reports with stakeholders and clients.
- They will resolve issues or delays, reduce the risk of delays, and prevent cost overruns.
- The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical, budget, and time constraints.
- They will review project documents such as design drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and changes, and take appropriate action if required.
- The Package Manager will conduct regular meetings with suppliers and engineering/other stakeholders.
- They will identify, mitigate, and escalate risks to enable the project to meet its schedule and obligations, minimize risk, and maximize opportunities for cost avoidance and/or reduction.
- The Package Manager will monitor performance and/or KPIs and proactively resolve issues related to supplier performance; ensure that all records are methodically archived in line with procedures as the project progresses.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management / Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer is an advantage.
- Experience in the procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.
- Experience in quality coordination in the supply chain is desirable.
- Sound experience in electrical design practices.
- Experience in Substation construction and installation.
- Experience in HV and LV reticulation.
- Experience in commissioning of electrical power infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management expertise and experience in contract management and schedule interpretation.
- Considerable experience managing all aspects of the delivery of design and supply scope for large-scale projects.
- Financial management – demonstrable behavior in reducing costs and meeting budgets.
- Claims awareness.
- Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and Aconex is an advantage.
- Able to use initiative and solve problems through analytical thinking.
- Able to work with cross-regional teams with a strong focus on delivering excellence.
