Your Qualifications:
- Essential qualifications in nursing and midwifery
- Current midwifery skills and knowledge
- Training in FSEP, PROMPT, PPH, and Neo-Resus
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to obstetric patients throughout their pregnancy journey
- Assist new mothers with breastfeeding support and general parenting guidance
- Ensure clinical practices adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice
- Deliver comprehensive support to patients through counseling, education, and environmental assistance
- Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to plan and assess nursing care
- Lead and coordinate tasks for junior staff based on patient needs and urgency
- Offer mentorship and supervision to students and less experienced colleagues
