Job Title: Academic Lecturer in Midwifery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Lecturer in Midwifery to join our team at the School of Education, La Trobe University. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, as well as contributing to the development of our midwifery programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver midwifery subjects and courses, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and materials to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of our midwifery programs, including curriculum design and accreditation.
  • Supervise and mentor students, providing guidance and support to ensure their academic success.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities, contributing to the advancement of midwifery knowledge and practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Midwifery or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Proven experience in midwifery education and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
