Electrical Engineering Lead for Canberra Office

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our Buildings and Places team in Canberra. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including Data Centres, Defence, Commercial, Education, and Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design and project delivery for major client projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical advice
  • Prepare high-quality technical designs that meet cost-effective project delivery goals
  • Mentor junior engineers in the preparation of technical design documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree
  • 5-10+ years' experience working for a Building Services consultancy
  • Proven record in technical design and project delivery while maintaining client relationships
  • Necessary qualifications for registration in ACT and other jurisdictions (CPEng and/or NER credentials)
  • Exposure to running multiple technical projects simultaneously with design experience across various market sectors
  • Experience leading small and large teams, managing project deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with passion for mentoring and training younger Engineers
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Revit, MS Office, AGI32
