This locum general practitioner opportunity is based in Mornington Island, a unique and culturally rich community located in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
The position involves working with a multidisciplinary team at the local Aboriginal Medical Service, providing healthcare services to the community. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, with no emergency department duties, after-hours or weekend work required.
A minimum commitment of three weeks is necessary for this role.

About the Community
Mornington Island is part of the Wellesley Islands group in the Gulf of Carpentaria and is home to the Lardil, Yangkaal and Gangalidda peoples.

Essential Requirements
- Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
- Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience in rural or remote healthcare, ideally Indigenous health
- Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal communities
- Familiarity with Communicare software desirable
