Agricultural Science Leader Opportunity

This is a chance to work for a leading agribusiness that contributes significantly to the broadacre farming industry. The company breeds, produces and markets high-quality seed products, delivering innovative crop solutions to farmers through a respected brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide agronomic advice for farm users
  • Develop and maintain an effective Farm Plan
  • Manage land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and other hands-on activities at the Research Farm
  • Implement pest control measures and irrigation scheduling effectively
  • Develop a capital improvement plan aligned with best practices
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Operate equipment accurately and safely
  • Lead support staff and foster their growth and development

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in agricultural science and experience in the Australian agricultural industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in farm management, broadacre cropping agronomy, research or extension positions
  • Current driver's license, including MR or HR license, and relevant certifications
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-reflect
  • Excellent time, organisational, and people management skills
