Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Security Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our facilities, including maintenance and repairs, as well as implementing and maintaining security protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and security operations, with experience in managing physical office spaces and coordinating maintenance and safety compliance.

They will also possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with external vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, tag & test, and general maintenance
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, including access control and visitor management
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs and schedules to avoid downtime and maximise company assets lifespan
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and environmental regulations
  • Manage operational budgets and resources, optimising processes to reduce costs and support strategic goals
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, negotiating Service Agreements, quotes, and contracts

Qualifications:

  • Proven facilities management and security operations experience ideally within Defence or similarly regulated industry
  • Australian Defence security regulations knowledge, including Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
  • Experience in managing physical office spaces, coordinating maintenance and safety compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, coordinating with external vendors and contractors
