Religious Education Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our team as a Religious Education Coordinator.

This role offers a unique blend of educational leadership and faith formation with opportunities for ongoing development and mentorship.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and affirming the Catholic culture, identity and mission of the school.

A key aspect of this role is developing and shaping a shared vision focused on providing quality educational experiences and learning outcomes for all students.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and inspiring educator to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to the growth and development of our school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and uphold the Catholic culture, identity and mission of the school.
  • Develop and implement religious education programs that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure effective implementation of religious education policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and support teachers in their religious education practice.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local parish communities.
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in religious education.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Four-year trained teacher classification with at least four years successful teaching experience consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation.
  • Working with Children Clearance number.
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training.
  • AWTL appropriate to your current position.
