About the Role
\We are seeking an analytical professional with passion, creativity and adaptability to help us drive innovation and develop future capability.
\As a strategic analyst in our team, you will collate and analyse program information, develop options and conduct detailed planning to support executive decision-making and other governance activity.
\You will be required to think strategically and understand how your work contributes to wider Defence capability outcomes.
\You will work closely with the Program Director and Deputy Director Governance and Decision Support, who will help you conduct research and manage program information.
\You will work with the Portfolio team to ensure program reporting and risk management practices are consistent with Group needs.
\About Our Team
\The IS&T Capability Program is responsible for delivering the defence innovation system and research infrastructure that will enable Defence to develop its future capability edge.
\The Program Management Office provides the Chief Defence Scientist and executives with the support they need to make timely decisions and drive program performance.
\The office supports all governance and is responsible for driving adoption of new programmatic ways of delivering capability in Defence.
\The office also integrates with other programs and elements, coordinates and delivers support and guidance to the Projects that deliver many outcomes.
\You enjoy informing decision-making, strengthening accountability and transparency, and streamlining capability delivery.
\You are able to communicate ideas clearly to executives and your team.
\You are a self-starter and able to deal with ambiguity, because the answers are not always obvious.
\You are comfortable being down in the detail looking for insights in the information, but know when to pull back to see the bigger picture.
\Previous experience where you were required to draw strategic insights through detailed analysis and present convincing arguments is essential.
