About the Role

The role of a senior coastal structures engineer is to oversee the development and implementation of coastal engineering services and project management for the Oceanway Missing Links project.

This involves developing complex coastal infrastructure engineering programs, ensuring coastal resilience outcomes are met, and mitigating coastal risk to assets and services.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in designing, managing, and constructing complex coastal engineering programs, including boardwalks, piled structures, seawalls, artificial reefs, etc.

They will also possess exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, as well as highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

A bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, or environmental engineering, or equivalent knowledge, is required. Additionally, a WHS Licence General Construction (White Card) and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status or commitment to achieve RPEQ are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing coastal engineering services and project management for the Oceanway Missing Links project.
  • Ensuring coastal resilience outcomes are met and coastal risk to assets and services is mitigated.
  • Designing, managing, and constructing complex coastal engineering programs, including boardwalks, piled structures, seawalls, artificial reefs, etc.
  • Providing exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, as well as highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
