Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, including payroll, compliance, and accounting procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute weekly payroll, including resolving pay-related queries and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Complete comprehensive financial compliance tasks, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations.
- Coordinate end-of-month accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of accounting records, including Cash Accounts reconciliation and Fixed Asset Register management.
- Support the development of accounting policies, process enhancements, and internal controls.
- Provide high-level support to the Business Services Manager on financial management, data auditing, and analysis, while staying up-to-date on legislative changes and new technologies.
- Minimum Diploma of Accounting or equivalent, along with membership in a recognized Accounting body, and familiarity with MYOB Advanced or other ERP systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of both administrative functions and accounting support, reflecting versatility and a holistic approach to business operations.
- Proven experience supporting Finance Managers or higher, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and ATO compliance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Excel and Word, for efficient data management.
