About this role

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mining Excavator Support Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-level technical and product support to internal and external customers.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and performing all work activities in a safe manner, adhering to HCMO Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Managing and supporting all technical issues within breakdown support, failure, and root cause analysis.
  • Accurately and effectively communicating with customers and delivering reliable solutions for improvement projects.
  • Meeting and engaging professionally with various stakeholders to support finding and navigating through complex technical analysis.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to transfer knowledge and findings.
  • Reporting and maintaining fleet performance.
  • Completing tasks autonomously and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Relevant mechanical trade or engineering tertiary qualifications.
  • Significant experience in open cut mining, civil earthworks, or other related industries, either in engineering, maintenance leadership, or technical/product support roles.
  • Proven technical understanding of key disciplines, such as mechanical/electrical systems; schematics, drawings, and manual interpretation.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills to facilitate resolution of product and technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with the ability to effectively liaise and deliver information at a high level to diverse range internal and external customers.
  • High level of customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships through delivery of high-quality solutions.
