The ideal candidate will work in the field and support the Melbourne, Australia territory.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality customer support through instrument installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Install new equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues.
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures.
  • Regular commute to and from customer sites, navigating within the region while following traffic laws and safely transporting necessary equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A high desire for quality is essential for success in this role.

  • Demonstrated experience working in both corporate and field settings.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on complex technical material.
  • Ability to work safely in environments with potential hazardous chemicals and biologicals.
  • Willingness to learn new robotic operating systems.
  • Valid Driver License and personal transportation with registration and insurance are required.
Education/Experience

A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited university is preferred.

Or

  • The equivalent combination of an Associate's degree or vocational training with at least two years of technical experience in electronics/electrical engineering, including the ability to troubleshoot electronics, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
Experience

Technical field service and customer-facing experience in life science, clinical, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

  • Automation experience is required.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
