Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for providing guidance, support and direction to centre teams.

  • Support the Centre Director in leading the team to provide high-quality early learning and care.
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team.
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence.
  • Implement the Practice Guide.

This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education and care principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:Main Accountabilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to centre teams to ensure high-quality early learning and care services are delivered.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop the capabilities of centre staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Centre Management: Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the absence of the Centre Director.
  • Practice Implementation: Implement the Goodstart Practice Guide to ensure consistency and quality across the centre.
