Display Draftsperson Role Overview

Metricon Homes, a leading new home builder, is committed to recruiting talented individuals who share our passion for delivering quality and service excellence.

This highly rewarding role will see you playing an integral part in our busy National Product Development team, based at our Robina Office (Gold Coast).

Responsibilities:

  • Complete drafting documentation for our Metricon display homes from concept to handover.
  • Produce drawings to support the workflow process, incorporating amendments and customer requirements.
  • Respond to critical customer needs and inspect construction to mark up plans.
  • Communicate and address variations, ensuring documentation reflects design intent and building codes.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting of job progress and maintain a thorough knowledge of workflow information systems.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Building Design/Drafting/Construction or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years in the residential volume home building industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and keep up to date with technological changes.
  • Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia, and Australian Standards.
  • Knowledge of Revit and a great attitude.
