Special Needs Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Special Needs Education Assistant in the Success Program.

  • This role involves working with students to assist teachers in delivering planned education programs focused on literacy, numeracy, social emotional learning and work readiness skills.
  • Tasks require judgement in achieving clearly defined outcomes determined by the teacher and Head of Learning Area.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and responsive individual with good written and oral communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group-based programs.

They will work in an environment committed to whole school approaches, self-reflection and continuous self-improvement.

This is an opportunity for a team player who can work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, Head of Learning Area and other Success Program staff in delivering an inspiring and quality educational experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents is essential for this role.
