Procurement Specialist

This role involves delivering complex procurement activity and ensuring a value for money outcome for the Commonwealth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver end-to-end procurement documentation for one or more complex procurement activities.
  • Manage and administer procurement activities, including overseeing tender processes, evaluation, and briefings to delegates.
  • Negotiate, where required, suitable contracts on behalf of the Department.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Public Governance Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013 and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
  • Good written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice.
  • Capacity to work effectively both as a member of a team as well as independently.
