
Support Services Coordinator

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to support women affected by Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence. You will work two days a week, conducting assessments to triage, evaluate, and support clients.
As a Support Services Coordinator, your work will have a direct impact on the well-being and recovery journey of clients, helping them access safe, suitable, and empowering resources to address their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk assessments, including suicide and violence risk evaluations.
- Screen and assess client needs via phone and online inquiries.
- Identify clients in crisis and coordinate immediate interventions or referrals.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clients receive a coordinated support experience.
- Serve as an advocate for clients, fostering positive relationships with other agencies and support services.
- Maintain up-to-date records of client assessments.
- Participate in team activities, including training, supervision, and development opportunities.
- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services, or a related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in conducting intake assessments and supporting women who have experienced trauma.
- Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information empathetically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant client management software.
