Regulatory Reporting Manager/Assistant Manager

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading global bank to find a seasoned Regulatory Reporting Manager/Assistant Manager to join their team. This role requires a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to oversee the preparation and submission of accurate regulatory reports in compliance with Australian financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit returns to the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
  • Analyze the reporting impact of new products and advise on their effect on the reporting system.
  • Perform month-end closing tasks, including preparation and review of accounting entries, adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes to financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis and reconciliations to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting protocols and documentation.
  • Support in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in regulatory reporting within Australia.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements in a financial services environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
