About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Northern Territory team to work on various projects based in NT.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design, procurement, and construction functions on designated project work to ensure completion within time, cost, safety, and environmental constraints to achieve profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates and documentation
  • Monitor performance and re-assess efficiency and quality
  • Support develop, implement, and administer sub-contracts/supplier agreements
  • Ensure a balance between cost and production to meet project objectives and time constraints
  • Understand daily work program and direct/allocate staff and contractors
  • Monitor adherence to safe work method statements and undertake risk analysis
  • Develop and communicate quality documentation, best work practices, standards, and expectations
  • Support identifying and addressing issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges
  • Support in timely project delivery within approved budget, monitor, and control project expenditures
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards of the customers and the company are followed
  • Manage procurement and purchases of goods and services
About You

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Construction White Card and Current driver's license
  • Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment
  • Competency in Project Management software (e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project, Primavera), ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle e-business) and project management platforms (e.g., In Eight, Aconex, Procore)
  • Sound understanding of Australian Standards (AS)
  • Experience in Contracts administration and management
  • Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management
